When people start to look for a school, they might consider how they realy are. Are they defensive or like to attack? Bruce Lee ones said..."the best way to defend yourselfe is to attack". He was smart enough to not say everything. The point is that his vision came from Wing Chun. This is in my case...attacking from out your defence. Because when you attack, you leave openings. When you only defend, sooner or later they hit you. So in this way you can shoose styles like karate or muay thay that are more attacking or jiu jitse and aikido what is more defending. Chinese styles are no sport. Unless the teacher makes a sport out of it. Then you have to see how the teacher sees his way. Kung fu are styles you can practice all your life, sports are build on rules. Strenght, physical and flexibility. Chinese styles have no rules but can be lurned trhu teachers who are responsible. So in short, do you like defending or attacking. People like to go to a gym where are a lot of people, a nice place, friends. A teacher with a commercial background. -Think...what are you going to lurn in 2 hours when you are with 25, 50 or more. -When you step outside a beautifull place you have to know your stuff aswell. -You do it for yourself, for nobody else. -Smalltalk wont help you to be good, you have to do it yourselve. Don't ruch, think and feel. If it feels good, go for it. Otherwise...look further.
