Man is used to his power. Woman is build differend. She has only feelings as her strong point. If Wing Chun was made by a woman, would it be obvious to see the style as a woman? Chi Sao or sensitivity training is more then 50% of this style. Pressure grows over power. The way of the least use of strenght. From the moment you make contact, you have to deal with pressure. This can be so powerfull (esspecialy in the beginning) and for the more experience (so gentle). This can be so soft and sensitive, "that a plum (feather) can't be placed upon the body". Everything starts with "awareness". A smoker gets awere what it does with his lungs and he can act. An alcoholic can be awere what this does with his body and can act as well. From the moment you are aware of pressure, you train this more and more. You start to see (feel) more then normal. When i had to leave my teacher, i was curious. Why does a "tan sao" works this way. How come...? How can i do it without muscular power?... I still get tired after 45 minutes of intensive fighting, how come? How about chi? Whats the difference between "tention" and "innerstrenght". When punching i use the hand, then elbow, then hips, what comes next? What if i don't use my body anymore? I found out that after using the body for everything, what the difference is. I practice also Qigong that i lurned from Shi Heng Jin and other monks and i can say...it helps a lot.
