about me

This references my experience in martial arts only. I started my journey of ‘martial science’ many years ago as a child with continued training provided to me by my father, in various internal/external martial arts and different combat styles, that I still practice today. An uncle of mine also taught me what he learned while enlisted in the military. In my early teenage years, I got an intro to the system of Wing Chun Kung Fu from Jason Law, grandson of master Bing Law(GGM Yip Man’s disciple). I continued training everything I knew with my father and spared frequently with many people, sharpening my skills. In 2000, I joined Sunny Tang martial arts and trained in class frequently until 2003. After deciding to pause training inside class, I decided to train more outside of class. I trained with the US Army Reverse’s to sharpen my skills and In 2020, after I got into a few “street fights”, and won, so I decided to ask my teacher if I could be his wing chun disciple. He said “sure, but you’ll have to show me the forms, chisao with me. And you have to hit me!” which is rare to be done. I did all asked and then “touched hands”with Grandmaster and it took a minute before either of us made any contact with each other! Then he hit me with a ginger fist to the ribs, that really hurt! I got upset and hit him with a few times, which proved my skills. So then I passed the test and became a certified Sifu & Disciple of Grand Master Sunny Tang, a childhood prodigy of GGM Yip Man and disciple of GM Moy Yat.
