Ismail Agcicek first encountered Martial Arts in Germany at the age of seven. He began his journey with Karate and subsequently expanded his practice to include Wushu Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, and Boxing. Between 1987 and 1995, he actively competed in various tournaments. In 1987, he was introduced to Wing Chun and continued his training in Turkiye for many years. His initial training included EWTO Wing Tsun and Moy Yat Ving Tsun. Later, he moved to the United States, where he met Master John Clayton and became his student. From 2006 onwards, Ismail Agcicek trained directly under Master John Clayton at the Advanced Wing Chun School in Baltimore, MD, and continues to actively practice. He also founded the Wing Chun Close Range Combat school in Abingdon, Maryland. His comprehensive training encompasses Chi Kung Breathing, Chin Na, Chi Sao, Forms, Street Defense, Disarming Weapons, Dragon Pole, Swords, Iron Palm, Kicking Developments, Self-Defense, and Wood Dummy. He also developed the 4 zone empty hand technique. Ismail Agcicek is a 10th-generation student of the Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu System under the lineage of Master John Clayton.
