Doctor Kwong Ming Lai, trained in Chinese medicine in Hong Kong, disciple of Greg Tsoi (Choy Siu Kwong) in the Wing Chun system, master in Tai Chi Chuan. Dr. Kwong, known in Brazil as Master Lai, was not in the country in the 1980s and 1990s, conducting several lectures, also transmitted Tai Chi Chuan (Master Liu Pai Lin) and Wing Chun during his time in Brazil. Finally, he returns to Honk Kong leaving his legacy having as one of his disciples Sifu Moacyr Rother Filho. Mestre Lai recorded some Portuguese publications for Tai Chi Chuan and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Sifu Moacyr Rother Filho began his walk at the age of 8, practicing Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, at age 20 he met Tai Chi Chuan and Wing Chun, dedicating his life to teaching, thus passing on the teachings to his eldest son Sifu Moacyr Rother Neto who has the mission to carry his legacy and so transmit it.
Sifu Moacyr Rother Filho also studied traditional Chinese medicine with Master Lai.
During the 70's and 80's, Sifu Moacyr dedicated his life to the Institute of Teaching Samana, located in the South Zone of São Paulo in the neighborhood of Brooklin, together with his then wife Waldete M. Chiquetto, together they developed a beautiful work dedicated to well being of people. Within the Institudo were developed various activities such as Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan, Relaxation, Personal Defense (Wing Chun), Do-In among other activities. Sifu Moacyr Rother Filho closes the doors of the Institute in the late 80's to care for his bedridden father and moves to the interior of the city of São Paulo (Jarinu), which remains until the end of his life.
