There is very little know about this master except that Cheung Ng had taught him along with a few select students who then went off and created the different branches and lineages within the Wing Chun system.
Law Man Gung according to some oral traditions was Fok Bo Chun’s teacher. Some oral tradition suggests Law Man Gung was a classmate of Leung Lan Kwai , having learned the art of Wing Chun from Leung Bok Lao. In Some accounts, It is suggested that Law Man was an actor on the Red Boats, and learned along with Wong Wah Bo and Dai Fa Min Kam. Other accounts credited Law Man Gung for passing down the art of Wing Chun to the Red Boats . There are some claims that he taught Leung Jan and his sons directly. According to the Snake Crane Wing Chun, Wayne Yung’s research Law Man Gung was nicknamed “Fairy Fists” and he was the teacher of Fok Bo Chun ,he learnt from Leung Lan Kwai, who split one long set Siu Nim Tau to the today’s three forms set system. He is the second generation of Snake Crane Wing Chun successors. Today, we can see the similarity among Snake Crane Wing Chun, Yuen Kay San Wing Chun and Ghuangzhow Wing Chun. Snake Crane Wing Chun is in possession of the old documents which can support their story , also latest research conducted by independent research team from Foshan supports Snake Crane's version of history . Furthermore family name “Law: is the same the Law family who preserved Snake Crane Wing Chun. It is also interesting that Yuen (Kai San) family and Law (Snake Crane WCK) family are blood related through marriage of their members , unfortunately this cannot elaborate further without permission from the Law family .
