Sifu Ayyub Hanif is the inheritor and head instructor of Abdul-Hadi’s Wing Chun Boxing, having completed the entire system under the direct guidance of founder Sifu Abdul-Hadi Winder, a fully certified 10th Level Sifu and disciple of Master John Clayton. Through this lineage, Sifu Ayyub’s training connects directly to one of the most respected and complete transmissions of Wing Chun, with Clayton recognized for his mastery under Grandmaster William Cheung and for passing the art on in its entirety to his own disciples. Under Sifu Winder’s mentorship, Ayyub achieved Level 10 certification, mastering every aspect of the curriculum: Siu Nim Tao, Chum Kiu, Biu Jee, single-hand and double-hand Chi Sao progression to free-flow application, the full Wooden Dummy sequence with combat applications, and both the Bart Cham Dao and Luk Dim Boon Gwan weapons sets.
As head instructor, Sifu Ayyub oversees the school’s teaching, grading, and curriculum integrity, ensuring the art is transmitted in its complete form. He prepares students from beginner to advanced levels, develops assistant instructors, and preserves the precise technical details passed to him. In competition, he has represented the school at the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament, earning 2nd place in Wing Chun Forms and 3rd place in Chi Sao, demonstrating both technical skill and live application ability. His teaching emphasizes structural efficiency, centerline control, timing, and adaptability, guiding students from fixed drills to live, pressure-tested execution. Carrying the trust of his teacher and the heritage of Master Clayton’s instruction, Sifu Ayyub is committed to preserving the art’s traditions while ensuring its relevance and effectiveness for modern practitioners.
